Rivers of the Boston Chapter has been elected as District Director.
Jennifer
Kevlin, of the Champlain Valley Chapter, has been elected as the APICS
Northeast District Manager.
Both will begin serving their two year terms on January 1, 2011.

APICS Northeast District Chapter Officer Orientation - Webinar Series
Whether a seasoned volunteer or the new kid on the block, it is
imperative that every APICS chapter officer knows where to find the
tools available to ensure a successful tenure as an APICS chapter
officer. This live broadcast will introduce you to the top five
resources every chapter officer should use.

APICS Nominating Committee
The APICS Nominating Committee met yesterday, August 5, 2010, to
select candidates to serve as officers on the 2011 APICS Board of
Directors. I am pleased to inform you of the results of that meeting as
reported by the committee chair, Mel Nelson, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP .
Ann K. Gatewood, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP was nominated by the committee to
serve as the Certification Committee Chair for the 2011-2012 term.
The following individuals were nominated by the committee to serve as
officers on the 2011 APICS Board of Directors:
Chair-Elect
Marc Harris, CPIM, CSCP
Secretary-Treasurer
Stanley Kramer
The APICS Bylaws provide the opportunity for additional officer
applicants to be proposed through a petition process. Should any member
wish to petition, the petition must contain the signatures of at least
one percent of the voting membership. Official petition forms may be
obtained from Henri Wingfield, director of channel partner activities.
The deadline for a petition submission is September 19, 2009.
Should a valid petition be received, a mail ballot will be sent to the
entire voting membership. Otherwise, the committee chair shall certify
the ballot for candidates as proposed by the APICS Nominating Committee
and present it to the APICS Board of Directors for its consideration.
Installation of elected officers will take place at the January 2011
meeting of the APICS Board of Directors.
