Forum Usage

The APICS Northeast District Forums are intended to give you an opportunity to communicate, share ideas, thoughts, and solicit help from your fellow officers in the Northeast District.  It is broken down into categories by functional department within a typical Chapter Board.  If you feel that an additional category is required there is a mechanism there to request it.

This online forum was created using Open Source software that is free to use, and share.  The message board is written in Perl, it is supported by an online community of users and others who feel that access to the internet and it's usage should be available to all at no or minimal cost.  The Open Source used for this forum is from YaBB (Yet another Bulletin Board www.yabbforum.com  ), and you will see references to YaBB in the pages of the Forums.  It is Ad Free, Spyware, and Spam Free. As a level of security your IP address is logged each time you sign on and with each post that you make.

There is a Category there reserved for Chapter Presidents only.  After you register you will receive instruction to request access to the Chapter Presidents section. Here you can communicate with other presidents only. There is also a section for Students only. We require your Student Chapter information to offer some level of protection and to insure that only students are allowed access to that forum.  Again, If you are a Student with a Student Chapter please follow the instruction after you register to be allowed access.

Please remember that things said online are never really secure. Don't share proprietary information or information that is private in nature to any individual. Remember to abide by the APICS Code of Ethics. Online forums can be fun and a great way to share knowledge.
